About
Round Robin Bidding
The
Bidding Method
- Only buyers who
have seen the house may bid on it.
- After you have
had a chance to inspect the house, you will have an opportunity to put
down an initial bid of any amount on the bidding sheet. You must do
this to be eligible for the round-robin bidding Sunday night.
- Bids may be left
at any amount, at any time prior to 6pm Sunday evening.
- No one can enter
the bidding after 6pm Sunday evening.
- The bidding is
open, and we will tell anyone the status of the bids at any time.
- The home will be
sold to the highest bidder in round robin bidding on Sunday night starting
at 8pm.
- The highest bidder
prior to the round robin bidding will have the opportunity to make the
first bid when the final bidding begins. Then next highest bidder will
get the second call, and so on down the list.
- Every bidder will
have the opportunity to top the high bid until the highest bidder is
established.
- If there is more
than one bid at the same level, the earliest bid will be honored.
- Bids must be $50
apart (on monthly payments or terms).
- The highest bidder
will be offered the home at the bid price. If the highest bidder is
unable to qualify, the second-highest bidder will be called. If this
bidder is unable to qualify, the third-highest bidder will be called.
- Bid on the home
as is.
Preference
for Cash
Any
bidder offers to buy the house outright is preferred. A cash sale will
speed up the closing and save the seller interest. Therefore, all cash
offers are allowed to negotiate the price.
